Introduction:
NA-11 Shangla is a National Assembly constituency in Pakistan, representing the entire district of Shangla in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Previously designated as NA-31 (Shangla) from 1977 to 2018, the constituency’s name was modified to NA-10 (Shangla) following the delimitation in 2018. After the subsequent delimitation in 2022, it is now recognized as NA-11 (Shangla). Shangla comprises three subdivisions, Alpuri, Puran, Chakesar, Martung and Besham tehsils.
The presence of Buddha sculptures in the Shangla district suggests that it was once part of the Buddhist civilization. These artifacts point to the historical and cultural richness of Shangla, indicating its connection to the ancient Buddhist heritage.
