Introduction:
Mardan District is located in the Mardan Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. It is named after its headquarters, Mardan city. Mardan-I is a constituency in the National Assembly of Pakistan. Formerly known as NA-11 (Mardan-III) from 1977 to 2018, the constituency was renamed NA-20 (Mardan-I) after the delimitation in 2018 and further redefined as NA-21 (Mardan-I) following the delimitation in 2022.

Popularity Reason: The district is well-known for its thriving agriculture industry and features significant archaeological sites, including Takht-i-Bhai, Jamal Garhi, and Sawal Dher. The literal meaning of Mardan is the “Land of Brave Men”.
