Introduction:
NA-209 Khairpur II is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. Previously named as NA-203, it includes Thari Mirwah Tehsil, Faiz Ganj, Nara Tehsils and Sobho Dero Tehsil (party) including Ranipur town.

Popularity Reason: Founded by Mir Sohrab Khan in 1783, Khairpur was a princely state and is now a district bordered by Shikarpur, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Larkana, and Naushahro Feroze. Connected by National Highway N-5 and the Lahore-Karachi railway, it boasts fertile land along the Indus River, supporting crops like cotton and sugarcane. While the eastern part borders the Thar Desert, known for its shifting sand dunes, the region is famous for date orchards and historic landmarks like the Faiz Mahal and Kot Diji Fort. The Mehrano Wildlife Sanctuary, owned by the Talpur Mir royal family, hosts diverse flora and fauna. The weather is extremely hot and dry in summer, with a more pleasant winter and occasional monsoon rainfall.

Notable contestants included Pir Syed Fazal Ali Shah Jillani, Peer Sadaruddin Shah Rashdi, Syed Ameer Umer Jeelani, Ismail Shah, Abdul Haq, Ghulam Ali, Ghulam Mustafa, and Munawar Ali Wassan. Pir Syed Fazal Ali Shah Jillani emerged as the successful candidate and was elected as the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from N.A-209 Khairpur.
