Introduction:
Charsadda-I is a National Assembly constituency in Pakistan. Previously identified as NA-8 (Charsadda-II) from 1977 to 2018, its nomenclature shifted to NA-23 (Charsadda-I) following the delimitation in 2018. Subsequently, with the latest delimitation in 2022, it assumed the current designation of NA-24 (Charsadda-I).
The city is home to the remains of the former ancient Gandharan capital, Pushkalavati, which translates to “Lotus City” in Sanskrit. It was also the residence of the Sanskrit grammarian Pāṇini. Charsadda, Tangi, and Shabqadar constitute the three Tehsils within the district.

Popularity Reason: Charsadda District is home to some of the best handicraft work in the country. In particular winter shawls and Khaddar (Matta Mughal Khel cluster) and caps for men and women is quite famous. Charsadda has a famous leather and handmade footwear industry.
