Introduction:
NA-253 Ziarat-cum-Harnai-cum-Sibbi-cum-Kohlu-cum-Dera Bugti is a newly-created constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It comprises the districts of Harnai, Sibi, Kohlu and Dera Bugti from the province of Balochistan.

Popularity Reason: Sibi District is renowned for its distinctive climatic and topographical characteristics, setting it apart from other districts in the region. Referred to as the “Hot Spot” of Pakistan, Sibi experiences extreme temperatures, particularly during the summer months.One of Ziarat’s notable features is its distinction as the host of Pakistan’s largest juniper forest, making it the second-largest juniper forest globally. This wooded expanse not only adds to the area’s natural beauty but also serves as a vital habitat for a variety of wildlife, including black bears and Markhor.

The consolidated results of the general election 2018 for NA-259 (Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Barkhan, Sibi, Lehri) included candidates from various political parties and independent contestants. The election featured candidates from Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), and Jamhoori Wattan Party (JWP).
Contestants such as Nawabzada Shah Zain Bugti, Mir Tariq Mehmood Kethran, Sardar Mir Baz Khan Khetran, Mian Khan, Mir Hairbyar Khan Domki, Meer Dostain Khan Domki, Mir Baz Muhammad, Jalnamb Khan Bugti, Babar Marghzani, Mir Liaqat Ali Khan, Abdul Ghaffar, Muhammad Saddique, Attaullah, Noor Ahmad Shah, Abdul Hai Baloch, Faqeerullah Jan, Mehrab Khan, Sardar Abdul Haye Shah Rashdi, Shahzadi, Nawab Muhammad Mir Aali Bugti, Hasnain Iqbal Minhas, Khan Muhammad, Mir Muhammad Khan, Mir Shah Nawaz Khan Mari, Nawabzada Gazain Khan Marri, Faqir Muhammad, Sheraz Ali, Allah Dad, Mir Ibrar Khan Khetran, Kuhdayar Mari, and Ahmad Jan participated in the electoral process.
In the general election, Nawabzada Shah Zain Bugti emerged as the elected Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from NA-259. However, the Election Commission of Pakistan ordered a re-poll in 29 polling stations. The re-poll took place in 20 polling stations on November 17, 2019, and Nawabzada Shah Zain Bugti was once again elected as the MNA from NA-259.
