Introduction:
Attock II is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. The region or constituency includes Fateh Jang, Jand, and Pindi Gheb Tehsils, as well as a partial area of Hasan Abdal Tehsil, all situated within Attock District. Originally named Campbellpur during the British colonial period, the city underwent a name change to Attock after the independence of Pakistan in 1947. The renaming reflects the city’s association with the Attock Fort, an ancient military fortification constructed during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar.
