Introduction:
NA-94 Chiniot 2 is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It includes Chiniot Tehsil and certain areas of Bhowana Tehsil. Prior to the 2018 delimitations, this constituency was officially referred to as NA-86 (Jhang-I). The establishment of Chiniot District in 2009, formed from regions previously part of Jhang District, necessitated this alteration in naming.

Popularity Reason: Chiniot is known for several key products, including silk, cotton, wheat, sugar, rice, milk, pottery, and wooden furniture. The city’s agricultural economy has roots in the “canal colonies” established during British rule, where an extensive network of canals was laid out to irrigate Punjab.
Renowned for its expertise in woodworking, Chiniot has developed as a hub for wooden furniture production, benefiting from its proximity to the Chenab River. The city’s artisans, known for their exceptional skills, were instrumental in the construction of iconic structures like the Taj Mahal and Wazir Khan Mosque. In the realm of metalworking, Chiniot’s craftsmen, alongside their counterparts in Lahore, were regarded as the finest in Punjab during the British era. The designs originating from Chiniot were considered superior to those from Hoshiarpur or Jalandhar. Additionally, Faisalabad Road is home to Ramzan Sugar Mills in the region.
