RAWALPINDI: The people of Pakistan support the Pakistan Army and its commitment to preventing the hard-won victories against terrorism from being undone. This has been confirmed by the military leadership on multiple occasions. General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), presided over the Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at GHQ on Tuesday, where the vow was reiterated.
Participants offered Fateha and gave heartfelt thanks to those who gave their lives as martyrs in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, to protect the country’s peace and stability, as well as to law enforcement personnel.
Briefings were given to the forum on operational and strategic responses to emerging threats, national security concerns, and the status of the geostrategic environment at the moment. The conference deliberated on different approaches to mitigate the threats presented by Pakistan’s adversaries, both domestic and foreign, particularly those functioning in Balochistan and KPK, by assessing their hostile armed forces, nefarious operatives, subversive front organizations, and enablers.
The declaration emphasized the Army’s standing as a disciplined institution that upholds the greatest standards of integrity, professionalism, and loyalty to the government and its institutions.
The institution’s well-established and rigorous accountability framework ensures that these ideals are kept with unwavering dedication, meaning that there is no room for bias or exceptions. The Army’s reputation is enhanced by its strict adherence to accountability, which ensures that no one is above the law or immune from investigation.
Understanding the need for a strong and efficient legal system, COAS underlined that the Pakistan Army would keep providing all-encompassing assistance to the government, executive branch, and law enforcement organizations so they could act legally and quickly against terrorist organizations, anarchists, and criminal gangs. The forum also conveyed pleasure with the continued efforts to combat the unauthorized spectrum that is used in conjunction with terrorist networks. The importance of implementing strict cybersecurity measures to protect national cyberspace was also emphasized.
