ISLAMABAD: In the Kharan district of Balochistan, the roof of a house collapsed owing to heavy rains, resulting in the deaths of at least three children and injury to another. PTV claims that the Provincial Disaster Management Authority’s teams are fully operationalized on highways and at various locations and points to maintain road access using heavy machinery, working in tandem with the National Highway Authority.
In addition to emptying urban flood water from homes in Gwadar, Jiwani, Surbandar, and Ormara, the Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan, and other departments are working on rescue and relief efforts in the areas affected by the rain. In cooperation with the local government, the Pakistan Army and FC Balochistan have been carrying out relief efforts in the flood-affected areas of Gwadar, Jiwani, and Subandar.
Twelve thousand individuals received free medical care and medications at these camps, and teams of doctors have been sent in to provide emergency medical services to those in need. The Pakistan Navy’s crews are working hard and actively to dewater the impacted areas as well. People who are caught in flash floods are being rescued and relocated to safer areas.
