ISLAMABAD: Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, a spokesman for the Foreign Office, has repeatedly referred to the decision to outlaw a political party as an internal problem within Pakistan. “The Supreme Court of Pakistan and other Pakistani courts have rendered recent rulings that demonstrate the strength of the country’s legal and judicial system as well as its capacity to handle internal issues. She said, “Therefore, foreign commentary is unjustified and unacceptable meddling in Pakistan’s internal affairs,” in response to a query about the US’s concern raised during a press conference held here on Friday.
The spokesperson added that Pakistan expressed grave concerns to the Afghan authorities regarding the terrorist attack that occurred on July 15 at the Bannu cantonment and the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)’s continued use of Afghan territory to launch lethal attacks in Pakistan without repercussions.
“We implore the Afghan government in transition to act decisively, swiftly, and forcefully against those responsible for the attack on July 15 and to put an end to similar incidents in the future. The stability of regional relations is jeopardized by such attacks, the speaker stated. She said, “The presence of TTP and other terror groups in Afghanistan continues to pose a serious threat to regional peace and security, despite Pakistan’s repeated calls for action.”
“We anticipate that the Afghan government will act decisively, forcefully, and firmly against these organizations, disarming the TTP and Gul Bahadur Group and turning over their leadership and those accountable for acts of terrorism against Pakistan.”
In response to a query, she stated that Pakistan has a clear stance on deporting foreign nationals who break its immigration regulations. She stated that more than 44,000 Afghan citizens living in Pakistan were scheduled to depart for other nations. “Against these groups, we expect the Afghan authorities to take decisive, strong, and effective action. They also expect the TTP and Gul Bahadur Group to disband and turn over their leadership and those accountable for terror attacks against Pakistan.”
She stated that Pakistan has a clear stance on deporting foreign nationals who break the country’s immigration regulations in response to a query. More than 44,000 Afghan people living in Pakistan, she added, were scheduled to depart for other countries. She claimed to be unaware of Malala Yousafzai’s remarks regarding the matter. She expressed her wish that Ms. Yousafzai would press these nations to quicken the process of their repatriation.
Call for joint efforts
She stated, “Pakistan strongly condemns the dastardly terror attack on Imambargah Ali bin Abu Talib, which claimed six lives, including four Pakistani nationals.” She was referring to the attack that took place in Muscat. “It is abhorrent and cruel to target peaceful civilians in a mosque in the tranquil city of Muscat during the holy month of Muharram. There are no justifications for such acts of terrorism or violence against peaceful individuals, the speaker declared.
