RAWALPINDI: At after midnight on Monday, four reportedly “highly trained” criminals engaged in gunfire on Murree Road, wounding one police officer who accepted martyrdom and the other who was injured. The suspects fled the area, abandoning their car. SSP Functionalities the incident happened when the dolphin force personnel motioned for a car carrying four individuals to stop, according to Hafiz Kamran Asghar. A Dolphin Force official was killed and another policeman was injured when the occupants began shooting at the police during the pursuit. Another casualty of the gunfight was a pedestrian.
Even though police raids were taking place to apprehend the offenders, the SSP reported that one of the suspects had also been hurt during the gunfight. Along with the weapon license from the automobile, police have also discovered “some photographs” belonging to the offenders.
After the gunfight, there was a state of alertness among the police throughout the garrison city, and there were raids in progress to apprehend the suspects who, based on CCTV footage, managed to flee on foot. According to “reports recovered from the car,” one of the suspects “seems to be differently abled,” the police stated. However, according to the sources, the suspects stole two motorcycles and fled. Since “blood was found in the car” that the offenders left behind, the police claim that one of the offenders may have been hurt during the gunfight.
According to the first investigation, the suspects were also said to be from Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, by the police.
