ISLAMABAD: Dr. Musadik Masood Malik, Minister of Petroleum, declared on Tuesday that the present gas price will not change until the winter months of December and January. Speaking at a press conference, he stated that the administration is working to prevent adding to the burden already placed on the people and that the gas rate has not been raised.
“If providing help becomes necessary, we will decide and proceed as a team with input from all provinces. But our goal is to keep gas costs from rising,” he stated. The minister stated that the government of Punjab has given relief to 98% of home electricity users who use up to 500 units. He continued by saying that 86% of people who consumed up to 200 units had also gotten assistance from the federal government. If other province governments so choose, he urged them to provide a comparable level of aid.
To support the growth of the country, he pleaded with political leaders to abstain from inciting unrest and to engage in parliamentary committee work. Dr. Malik emphasized that some forces are trying to obstruct the nation’s advancement, wealth, and development. “These individuals oppose the advancement of the nation,” he continued.
Dr. Malik also recalled that the opposition was allowed to establish the government following the elections, but they turned it down. He said the Pakistan Peoples Party has also invited the opposition at the moment to establish the government.
He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was employing the Fenton Group, an American lobbying group, while also accusing the United States of bringing about a regime change. He claimed that PTI actively pushed for the resolution to be passed against Pakistan and mentioned that PTI employed David Fenton, a longtime opponent of Pakistan’s nuclear program.
He said that the “real” Chairman has also been taken into custody and that the Deputy Chairman has been imprisoned for stealing $190 million. He continued, “One is being held in connection with a $190 million corruption case, while the other has been arrested in the Top City corruption case.” He claimed that the PTI had become an orphan following the genuine Chairman’s detention.
He brought attention to reports of pervasive corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which are now frequently discussed. He charged certain parties with aiding and abetting terrorists. He described the situation as deplorable and demanded that those who reject the ongoing operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa take responsibility for the sacrifices made by the military forces. He drew attention to PTI’s internal strife, highlighting how the party is breaking down and its members are now battling amongst themselves.
