ISLAMABAD: Creating a special protection force to ensure the safety of foreign nationals in the federal capital area was the consensus reached at a conference on the law and order situation on Saturday, which was presided over by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The Minister of Interior gave orders to guarantee foreign nationals’ absolute security at that time. All significant offices and locations, including the red zone in Islamabad, should have extra security, according to the interior minister.
According to Mohsin Naqvi, the Lahore Safe City model will need to be emulated by the Islamabad Safe City initiative. He stated that they are making improvements to Islamabad’s police stations and that after a few months, the benefits would be evident. The minister of the interior launched a severe crackdown on the gangs who deal in drug sales and purchases. He stated that the use of contemporary technologies should be used to bring these gangs within the legal system.
He said that under no circumstances would the selling of ice or other intoxicants be allowed outside of educational institutions. He declared that drug dealers will face the harshest punishments since they are the enemy of our future. Effective action was also directed by Mohsin Naqvi against the beggar mafia. He looked for a comprehensive strategy to address the capital’s traffic problems.
