KARACHI: Wednesday morning, Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and his party departed for Tehran following their three-day visit to Pakistan. The esteemed guest was bid farewell at Karachi Airport early in the morning by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. The President of Iran met with the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chief Ministers and Governors of Sindh and Punjab, the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Senate, and the Chief of the Army Staff during his three-day visit.
Earlier, the Iranian President arrived at the province capital and paid a visit to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with his spouse, Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda, and a delegation of high importance. In addition, Dr. Raisi conducted meetings at CM House and gave a speech at a ceremony that was attended by notable individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including parliamentarians, major businessmen, province ministers, and ulema.
Governor Sindh, who serves as the Chancellor of Karachi University, also awarded an honorary degree to the Iranian President. In the meantime, Dr. Jamileh, the Iranian president’s spouse, was the main guest at an IBA university conference.
