ISLAMABAD: Shere Afzal Marwat, a member of the National Assembly, has been designated by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) as the point of contact for setting up a meeting between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder who is being held in Adiala jail. The case challenging the Punjab government’s decree prohibiting contacts with the PTI founder who is being held in Adiala jail was heard by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir.
Shere Afzal stated during the court that they had worked out a plan with the Adiala jail superintendent to set up a meeting with the PTI founder. Before meeting with the founder of PTI, the court ordered that an application be submitted to the focal person.
