ISLAMABAD: At the President’s House on Monday, President Arif Alvi conducted Shehbaz Sharif’s swearing-in as the nation’s twenty-fourth prime minister. The heads of the nation’s major political parties, including the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, the Pakistan Peoples Party, the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, were among the dignitaries present at the oath-taking event.
Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari are a few of the leaders. Maryam Nawaz, Murad Ali Shah, and Sarfraz Bugti, the chief ministers of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, were also present at the event. At the President’s House, Joint Leaders of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, and other military leaders attended the ceremony led by Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.
At the location were also ambassadors and diplomats from several nations. Following his 16-month tenure from April 2022 to August 2023, Shehbaz, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was able to hold the position of the nation’s 24th chief executive.
