Pakistan launched PAKSAT MM1, its second communication satellite, on Thursday to improve the nation’s internet and communication systems. The multi-mission communication satellite of Pakistan will be launched today from China’s Xichang Satellite Launch Centre, according to a statement released by the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) last week. Earlier this month, as part of China’s Chang’e-6 lunar mission, the nation launched its first satellite in history from Hainan. The satellite will “provide the best internet facilities across Pakistan,” according to a statement released by state-run broadcaster Pakistan Television. It will also help enhance broadband, mobile, and television programming. It also mentioned that August will mark the start of the satellite’s service.
At the launch, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal declared, “The day is not far when we will launch our satellites on our rockets from Pakistan’s Space Launch Centre.” Salutations, Pakistan.” In addition to congratulating the country, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed hopes that the satellite would contribute to the provision of the “fastest internet facility” across the nation. The possible effect of PAKSAT MM1 on internet connectivity throughout Pakistan excites me in especially. The prime minister stated in a statement that “this satellite, with its cutting-edge communication technology, promises to revolutionize our digital landscape and provide the fastest internet facility throughout the country.”
Congratulating the country on this “momentous occasion,” he stated that the success represented a major step forward in the nation’s space and communication capabilities and expressed his pride in the country’s accomplishment. In addition to improving citizens’ lives, the prime minister claimed that the satellite would help advance e-commerce, e-governance, and economic activity. “It is through such cooperative endeavors that we can propel our nation forward and harness the power of technology for the benefit of our people,” PM Shehbaz said, praising the launch from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre as a “testament to the strong collaboration and partnership between the two countries.”
In his words, the nation’s scientific and technological prowess was demonstrated by PAKSAT MM1’s placement in a geostationary orbit 36,000 kilometers above Earth, an amazing feat. The mission’s participants, including Suparco, received praise from Prime Minister Shehbaz. The prime minister described the unveiling as a symbol of the nation’s potential and bright future, attributing Pakistan’s growth to combined efforts and resolve. “May the launch of PAK MM1 herald even greater triumphs in our pursuit of superiority in space and communication technology,” he made a prayer.
