ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, the federal government in this area announced a reduction of Rs. 5.45 in the price of gasoline per liter. Previously, the price of gasoline was Rs. 293.94, but it is now available for Rs. 288.49. According to a press release from the finance ministry, the cost of high-speed diesel has also been reduced by Rs. 8.42, from Rs. 290.38 to Rs. 281.96 per liter.
The statement further stated, “During the last two weeks, there has been a decreasing trend in the prices of petroleum products on the international market.” According to what was claimed, consumer prices have been determined by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) using data from the global market.
