Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, has vowed to eradicate terrorism in the country and to supply the armed forces with all the tools they need to counter the menace. “There is no room for terrorism,” the premier proclaimed. The time to terminate it is now. We will supply the armed forces with all necessary resources.
Noting that adequate condemnation is due to the terrorism there, Prime Minister Shahbaz denounced the continuing violence in Balochistan. Additionally, he brought attention to terrorists’ attempts to sow division between China and Pakistan. Talks, he declared, will only take place with organizations that recognize Pakistan’s constitution and will not take place with what he called “friend-like enemies.”
The statements were made at the Federal Cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The purpose of the meeting was to talk about the general state of affairs in the nation following violent and terrorist assaults that had occurred the previous day. With an emphasis on national security and the recent upsurge in terrorist activity, the summit was scheduled to cover various topics. Cabinet decisions to stabilize the nation amid mounting security worries are expected to be made as the talks go.
Balochistan is shocked by a string of attacks
Several incidents occurred in several regions of Balochistan province on Monday, adding to the already unstable situation. In the steep Bolan Valley, the Dozan railway bridge was destroyed to mark the start of the attacks. This vital facility provided rail connectivity between Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. According to reports, the province has become even more isolated due to eliminating this important link.
The most horrifying occurrence occurred in the Musakhail neighborhood, where 23 people were forcibly removed from a bus and mercilessly murdered one after another. The Kalat district was also not exempt from the violence; ten persons, five of whom were civilians and five of whom were security officers, were killed in an attack on security forces. Five civilians were injured in a terrorist strike near the Frontier Corps fort in Noshki.
Six more dead were found in the Sibi district, further south, adding to the growing death toll from the violence. Moreover, militants struck the Daringarh police station in Mastung; however, no one was harmed. Two persons were hurt in a hand grenade attack in the Pishin area, which targeted a government office. Three security officers were killed in Lasbella as a result of a targeted attack, but the troops were able to repel a significant attack. The military reacted swiftly to the attacks on defenseless citizens, eliminating 21 suspected militants and foiling a significant terrorist attack in the Lasbela district.
