MUZAFRABAD: A statement was made on Monday by Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, stating that the people of Pakistan supported their Kashmiri counterparts in their fight for the right to self-determination. “The Prime Minister visited Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, and declared that Pakistan would persist in offering moral, political, and diplomatic backing to its fellow Kashmiris until they acknowledge their entitlement to self-determination by UNSC resolutions.”
Speaking here with Speaker Latif Akbar of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haque of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, PM Kakar stated that the only way to find a fair and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute was through a free and fair referendum by UNSC resolutions.
He claimed that no one was unaware of the horrors committed by India in Jammu and Kashmir while it was an illegitimate state and that it was disturbing and disgusting that the world community remained silent about these crimes against innocent Kashmiris.
