RAWALPINDI: Following an intelligence-based operation on Wednesday in North Waziristan District, the security forces killed up to six militants and injured one Pakistan Army soldier. According to a news release from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), there was intense gunfire between Army forces and militants during the whole operation.
The report claims that the terrorists who were killed were still actively carrying out several terrorist crimes, including target assassination, extortion, and kidnapping of defenseless civilians. Weapons, ammo, and explosives were also found on them. To eradicate any further terrorists discovered in the vicinity, a sanitization operation is underway. The ISPR claimed, “Locals in the area expressed gratitude for the operation and pledged their unwavering support in the fight against terrorism.”
