ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate for prime minister chose to receive support from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Tuesday, but the PPP will not be included in the Central government. This decision was made in light of the political parties’ intense efforts to establish a new regime in the nation. The PPP decision is the result of today’s post-central executive committee (CEC) meeting of the party.
He went on, “I will not be putting myself forward for the candidacy of Prime Minister of Pakistan because it is a fact that the PPP does not have a mandate to form the federal government.” He stated that although the PML-N and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have a larger number of members in the National Assembly than his party, there is no chance of a PTI or independent-led administration in the nation because the former has said that they will not hold talks with the PPP.
The youthful politician went on to state that the PPP would not be interested in assuming federal ministries under the structure because it is unable to build the government at the center. Putting aside the notion of a reelection, Bilawal stated, “We don’t want to see chaos in the country or perpetual crisis in the country.” Bilawal disclosed that the PPP chose to sponsor the PML-N candidate for prime minister to maintain political instability in the nation, explaining why the party was endorsing the opposing party’s candidate for the coveted position.
Before this, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) asserted that Majlis-e-Wahdat-Muslimeen (MWM) and the erstwhile ruling party would collaborate to build governments in Punjab and the Center, per Imran Khan’s orders. In an interview with the media on Tuesday in Islamabad, PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan stated that the former prime minister had instructed the party to form an alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over reserved seats while dismissing any chance of negotiations with the PML-N, PPP, and MQM-P.
