Introduction:
NA-117 Lahore-I is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. Previously named as NA-123, the area includes some of the oldest parts of Lahore, behind the walled city including areas like Matchus Factory, Saeed Park, Qaiser Town, Kot Shahabud Din, Yousuf Park, Wandala Road, Lajpat Road, Jia Musa, Qila Muhammadi, Kot Begum, Sabzi Mandi, Ravi Road, Saggian, and Shahdara.

Popularity Reason: Being the capital city of Punjab and the second largest city of the country, the importance of this place cannot be ignored. It not only has political or economic importance but also a long history attached to it as well. Old Lahore has a rich cultural background with buildings like Badshahi Mosque and Shahi Qila which have forever maintained its beauty. Notable contenders included Muhammad Riaz, Wajid Azeem, Muhammad Latif Khan Saraa, Zahid Iqbal Malik, Hafiz Abdul Wadood, Tauseef Akmal Khan, Faraz Hashmi, Mian Mahmood Ahmed, Wahid Ahmed, Zaman Ali, Amjad Khan, Asif Mehmood, and Humayun Akhtar Khan. In the electoral competition, Muhammad Riaz, running as an independent candidate, emerged victorious and secured the position of Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from NA-123 District Lahore in the general election.
