Introduction:
NA-13 Battagram is a constituency in Pakistan for the National Assembly. It covers the entire district of Battagram. Previously known as NA-22 (Battagram) from 1977 to 2018. After the delimitation in 2018, it was renamed NA-12 (Battagram). Underwent another delimitation in 2022, leading to its current designation as NA-13 (Battagram). Battagram was initially a tehsil within Mansehra district.
It achieved the status of a separate district in 1993.
Geographically, it is bordered by Kohistan District to the north. To the east, it shares boundaries with Mansehra District. The southern border is adjacent to the Kala Dhaka area, which is now part of Torghar District. In the west, Battagram is surrounded by Shangla District.
The region has a lot of hydro power potential, according to a report from PEDO (previously Sarhad Hydro Power Development Organization).
District Battagram has two tehsils.

Popularity Reason: Battagram has A Number of Beautiful Valleys. The Climate In Battagram Is Moderate In Summer And Severe Cold In Winter. It faced devastating consequences from the 2005 earthquake, resulting in over 4,500 deaths and 35,000 injuries, leaving many without homes. In response, NGOs and the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) initiated reconstruction efforts. The prolonged aftermath of the earthquake continued to present challenges for the region, underscoring the persistent impact of the catastrophic event.
Main Political Parties:
In the General Election 2018 for NA-12 Battagram, a total of eight candidates contested the seat. Various political parties, including PTI, MMA, PPPP, ANP, PML, QWP, and several Independents, participated in the electoral process. The candidates in the fray were Muhammad Nawaz Khan, Muhammad Yousaf, Sardar Malik Jan, Rasheed Ahmed, Saeed Ahmed, Misbah ullah Babar, Sabir Hussain Shah, and Rustam Khan.
Muhammad Nawaz Khan from PTI secured victory with 34,270 votes, surpassing Muhammad Yousuf of MMA who received 23,881 votes.
