Introduction:
NA-227 Hyderabad 3 is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. Previously known as NA-220, it includes Latifabad Tehsil (partly), Qasimabad Tehsil (partly) and Hyderabad City and Cantonment areas of Hyderabad District.
District | Division | Province | Electorate |
---|---|---|---|
Hyderabad | Hyderabad | Sindh | 461,032 |
Popularity Reason: The establishment of the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate in the outskirts of Hyderabad in 1950, initially home to 439 industrial units, played a crucial role in this prominence until the urban violence of the 1980s. Unfortunately, the city’s industrial base faced challenges during that period due to ethnic violence in urban Sindh. Additionally, factors like poor infrastructure and an insufficient supply of electricity have posed hindrances to the continued growth of industries in this area. The presence of Hyderabad Garrison, located adjacent to Hyderabad in the Sindh province, adds to the region’s significance.
