Introduction:
Peshawar-V is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan, formed during the 2018 delimitation. The constituency includes parts of Peshawar city and Cantt areas in the Peshawar District.
During the 2018 delimitation, NA-31 was created by incorporating areas from two former constituencies: NA-1 (Peshawar-I) and NA-3 (Peshawar-III). The majority of the territory came from NA-1. Notable areas from NA-1 include Dalazak Road, Haji Camp, Afghan Colony, Faqeerabad, Zaryab Colony, Gulbahar, Sikandar Town, Sikandar Pura, New Rampura Gate, Sabz Pir Road, T.B. Hospital, Ganj Bazar, Mohallah Jataan, Chowk Yadgar, Shah Qabool, Ramdas, Beri Bagh, Murshid Abad, and Khan Mast Colony. Additionally, areas from NA-3, such as Bashir Abad and the Coca-Cola Factory on Charsadda Road, were included in NA-31.

Main Political Parties:
In the 2018 General Elections, candidates from various political parties, including Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, PPP, PTI, MMA, and TLP, as well as independent candidates, contested in NA-31. Shoukat Ali S/O Liaqat Ali, Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Muhammad Siddique Rahman, Akhunzada Irfan Ullah Shah, Shaukat Ali S/O Muhammad Afzal, Muhammad Nadeem, Rooh Ullah, Gul Rehman, Aurangzeb Khan, Yasmeen, Ilyas Ahmad Biloor, Muhammad Suqqaf Yasir and Noor Hussain were candidates from NA-31 from G.E 2018.
Haji Shoukat Ali was elected MNA from N.A- 31 District Peshawar in the general election 2018. But this constituency NA-31 Peshawar was become vacant due to resignation of Haji Shaukat Ali. So bye election held in NA-31 Peshawar on 25-09-2022.
