RAWALPINDI: The armed forces are ready to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity from the “full spectrum of threats,” according to Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir. The army commander was paying a visit to soldiers who were in the Rahim Yar Khan area for an exercise. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement on Saturday stating that he was also informed about the “Shamsheer-e-Sehra” exercise.
Integrated fire and combat maneuvers including armor, infantry, mechanized infantry, artillery, air defense, and anti-tank guided missiles were observed by the COAS during their visit. Aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force took part in the drill as well. The military’s media wing stated that the exercise aims to improve battlefield procedures and professional knowledge necessary for handling future difficulties in operational scenarios.
To “subdue the enemy’s communications capabilities and disinformation campaigns during the war,” the exercise also included information operations and electronic warfare skills. During his day with the troops taking part in the drill, the army commander praised the high morale, operational readiness, and training standards of all ranks. In the ISPR statement, Gen. Munir emphasized that the military is still “prepared against any misadventure by the enemy.” Inspector General Training and Evaluation and Corps Commander Karachi welcomed the army commander as he arrived at the field training area.
