NA-131 kasur-1 is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. Kasur District, located in the Lahore Division of Punjab, Pakistan, was established as an independent district on 1 July 1976. Prior to its formation, it functioned as a tehsil within the Lahore District. The district’s administrative hub is Kasur city, renowned as the birthplace of the Sufi poet Bulleh Shah, a prominent figure in the region and across Pakistan. Covering a total area of 4,796 square kilometers, Kasur District holds historical and cultural significance in the Punjab province.

Popularity Reason: Widely regarded as “The Father of Punjabi Enlightenment,” Bulleh Shah lived and was buried in Kasur. His shrine in the center of Kasur City is a testament to his profound spiritual and literary contributions.
