Introduction:
Nowshera-I is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. Formerly designated as NA-6 Nowshera-II from 1977 to 2018, its name was modified to NA-25 (Nowshera-I) following the delimitation in 2018. Subsequently, with the latest delimitation in 2022, it assumed the current designation of NA-33 (Nowshera-I). Jehangira Tehsil, the city of Nowshera, and the areas covered by the Nowshera Cantonment, along with the Risalpur Cantonment, constitute the district of Nowshera.
Situated on a sandy plain encircled by hills and positioned along the banks of the Kabul River, Nowshera serves as a prominent commercial and industrial hub. It is well-connected by rail and road to Dargai (Malakand Pass), Mardan, Peshawar, and Rawalpindi.

Popularity Reason: Nowshera is rich in ancient archaeological sites, preserving the remnants of the historic Gandhara civilization. Moreover, the region is renowned for its agricultural contributions, notably excelling in the cultivation of sugarcane and tobacco.

In the General Election of 2018 for NA-25 Nowshera I, there were a total of nine candidates. Among them were notable figures such as Parvaiz Khattak, Khan Parvez, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Malik Jumma Khan, Siraj Muhammad Khan, Ayesha Gulalai Wazir, Muhammad Sher Ali, Ahrar Khan, and Ejaz ul Haq. Ultimately, Parvaiz Khattak from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) emerged victorious and was elected as the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) for N.A-25 District Nowshera.
