Introduction:
Dera Ismail Khan-II is a parliamentary constituency in Pakistan, established in 2018 through the division of NA-25 (Dera Ismail Khan-cum-Tank). The creation of this constituency allocated representation specifically for Tank District, separating it from a portion of Dera Ismail Khan District. In 2022, the constituency number was updated to NA-45 (Dera Ismail Khan-II). Paroa Tehsil, Daraban Tehsil, Drazanda Tehsil, and a portion of D.I. Khan Tehsil are included in Dera Ismail Khan District.
The region is named after the mercenary Ismail Khan, son of Malik Sohrab Dodai from the Langah Sultanate, who established its foundation.

Muhammad Yaqboob Sheikh emerged as the elected Member of the National Assembly from N.A-39 District Dera Ismail Khan in the general election 2018.
