Popularity Reason: Daska Tehsil boasts a significant presence of agricultural machinery manufacturers. Surrounded by major industrial cities like Gujranwala and Sialkot, Daska maintains a robust employment rate.
Main Political Parties:
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan, along with independent candidates like Syed Iftikhar ul Hassan alias Zahray Shah, Ali Asjad Malhi, Usman Abid, Arslan Zafar, Zaheer Ul Hassan Rizvi, Abdul Waheed Meo, Kashan Haider, Rauf Ahmad Bajwa, Muhammad Atiq Rafiq, Chaudhry Mumtaz Ali, and Abdur Rauf contested in the General Election for NA-75. Syed Iftikhar ul Hassan emerged as the elected MNA from N.A-75 District Sialkot in the general election 2018. However, following the demise of Peer Syed Iftikhar ul Hassan Shah, this constituency NA-75 Daska became vacant, leading to a bye-election in NA-75 Daska.
A bye-election was conducted in NA-75 Sialkot on February 19, 2021. The Election Commission of Pakistan declared the initial election null and void, prompting a re-poll. In the subsequent bye-election held on April 10, 2021, Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar emerged as the elected M.N.A from NA-75 Sialkot.
